We can't recommend Mayflower Home Inspection enough! The owner Andrew and his colleague Derek were extremely professional and conducted our inspection for over 2 hours.
From our initial inquiry, Andrew was very communicative, informative, and patient as he answered our many questions about the process. During the inspection, he was extremely thorough and went through every detail with us in simple language. He also gave us guidance and advice on how to navigate the issues the came up. The report was turned around quickly and was very detailed, highlighting everything we discussed with photos and ranking each issue based on priority. Even after the inspection, Andrew was kind enough to hop on a call to walk us through the radon test results and offer guidance.
Mayflower is the opposite of a large company that can't guarantee quality work or customer service. Andrew was so thorough, he even told us one of the stairs in our stairwell was built 1 inch shorter than the rest! We are so happy we went with the Mayflower Home Inspection team.

This was the best inspection company/team we have used. Chris arrived early and was very meticulous in every aspect. He explained everything properly and highlighted if it was major/ minor issues. He also mentioned what are expected for the age of the house and potential solutions. The report (provided the same evening) was very comprehensive with lot of pictures and clear descriptions. Their report system is very user friendly/interactive and easy to prepare a shortlist to focus on the important repairs as well as ability to calculate the total credit. This made the whole process easy for everyone involved. I would definitely use them again in the future.

He turned on the heat and measured the temp with a laser thermometer; then cranked the air conditioner to test its output. He poked and probed wood beams, joists, and rafters, noted insulation and voids, and bounced on the stairs.
The report which came back in a few hours (!) was comprehensive in scope and depth, with copious photos, recommended follow-up items to pursue, and issues ranked by urgency.
Chris invited me to call him to discuss his findings, and spent an hour in conversation about his findings, his own experience as a home-buyer, and what might be remedied by us ourselves and what to leave to professional tradespeople.
We came away with full confidence in his judgment, secure in the knowledge that we knew all there was to know about the condition of the house. We submitted a bid and won!

Andrew from Mayflower Inspection was absolutely amazing. From the minute we walked up to the house, it was clear he is super knowledgeable and experienced. We could tell he cares about his customers! As we went room to room, he welcomed all kinds of questions and had great advice for maintenance. We liked how Andrew was very relatable, thorough, and a great teacher. I can't say I know much about home inspection or houses, for that matter, but I'm quickly learning with my first house purchase. Chris was professional and thorough, but also was easy to speak with. Chris was incredibly helpful, thorough, and communicative. We waived our home inspection prior to buying and wanted to ensure that we had one completed before we moved in. My home being inspected was built a century ago. Mayflower (Chris) did an amazingly detailed job on every aspect of the house. He took the time to explain all his findings after he completed each portion of the house. As you can imagine, with such an old house that has not been updated in decades, there was a lot to go over. Chris patiently answered all my questions. I even had a follow up question the next day, and Chris responded to my email within minutes. In my experience, Mayflower could not be any more professional with regard to the inspection, service and customer care.

Christopher was great - he was very thorough, explained things in a concrete, comprehensive and tangible way for us and answered all of our questions. We could not recommend Chris more. He was incredibly friendly, thorough, helpful, and fast! He took his time working his way through every section of the house and was detailed and great when he took us on the walkthrough pointing things out to us and giving us insight and tips on issues he had seen. Not only was he excellent in person, but he turned around our full 72 page report in under 2 hours from finishing the inspection. Had a great experience with Mayflower - they were fast to respond and set up the inspection, and I really liked that I could do all the scheduling online. The inspection itself was very professional and thorough - I appreciated how detailed they were and the way they answered all my questions throughout. Definitely a more expensive inspection, but it was worth the money to feel confident that the inspection was one I could trust.

Andrew was professional, friendly, extremely thorough and very helpful in explaining the details of everything. Once complete, he had the report over to us within 2 hours of leaving the home. Although his pricing was slightly higher than some of the other companies around, he was completely worth it. I would highly recommend him to anybody!

At first the inspection seemed great. The technology was helpful, some minor errors were found, and they seemed knowledgeable and trustworthy. After purchasing the house the amount of things that the inspector missed was astounding. Things that my contractor was shocked by and told me anyone with a flashlight should have noticed. It is blue chasing me thousands more dollars because they missed so much. I would not recommend them.

Our inspection with Chris was fantastic. We were able to book with only 24 hours notice, and he showed up early and did most of the exterior before we even arrived. Daniel was extremely helpful! Walked us through the whole home pointing out what needed attention and how to go about addressing it. He patiently answered any questions in plenty of detail, which as first time homeowners we especially appreciated.
